About Caly
Hello and welcome to our Peace-By-Peace family! I have been blessed throughout the years to connect with so many beautiful souls ~ both humans and animals. I feel so fortunate to be on the path that I am on, and I aspire to continue learning and growing with you.
I remember my connection with Spirit beginning when I was a young child. At night, as my parents were trying to get me to fall asleep, I would see so many “people” in the room, which, at the time, was overwhelming for me. I could see them, but my parents couldn’t; I now know that these were angels, loved ones in heaven, and spirit guides surrounding me. My Mom also told me that in my younger years, I would be the one to excitedly jump out of bed on Sunday mornings and wake everyone up to “go to church.” I would joyously proclaim, “We have to go see God!” I was filled with anticipation of connecting with God. Mom shares how I was always several feet ahead, skipping to get through the doors to the church. Watching me, my Mom would often think, “And a little child shall lead them.”
My childhood was quite challenging, yet through it all…God was my rock. This helped me to create a relationship with the Divine that continues to flourish to this day. As I became a little older, I realized I had a very special and unique connection with my childhood dog, Ginger. She was such a source of comfort and unconditional love. I knew I could talk with her…she understood me, and I intuitively heard her. What a wondrous connection! Unfortunately, I chose to shut that gift down after being laughed at when I proclaimed that I could talk with the animals. If you asked me in my 20s if I could talk with animals, I would have told you “no;” however, the gift never truly left (and it was thankfully reawakened before my beloved dog, Tippy, left her earthly body). Animals can communicate with me, and I with them. Together, we speak a language of pure acceptance, encompassing all love and light. Thank you, God, for the gift of our beloved animals!
Fast forward many years later, when I had to undergo emergency thoracic surgery. Although I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I was still in horrific pain 24/7. Every breath I took was pure agony for my ribs, and I knew there had to be something more going on. Eventually, it was determined that I had herniated thoracic discs that were never detected, and I had to be rushed into emergency surgery. Some of my organs were shutting down, and I needed help fast. This was the infamous "curve ball" life throws that turned my life around. Although scared, I surrendered the surgery to God and my angels ~ "Thy will be done."

What ultimately led me to Reiki and other holistic modalities was my lack of well-being from the surgery I had undergone. Once I underwent surgery (during which time my body was just about cut in half, a lung collapsed, and my ribs purposefully fractured/spread apart to get to the herniated discs), the fibromyalgia exacerbated the post-surgery healing, and the surgery exacerbated the fibromyalgia. What does all this mean? A lot of pain and a lot of medication! Too much! I was on more medication than I ever wanted to be on, and the kicker is I wasn't making any further progress. I reached a plateau, and the use of even more medication was an option I had to seriously consider. Rather than opt for more medication, however, I decided to take a holistic approach. I chose Reiki for its self-healing properties. Once I started incorporating Reiki into my daily life (along with prayer, meditation, etc.), my well-being did a turnaround for the better!
As a result of life's curveball, I went from being a paralegal to co-creating Peace-By-Peace (I say co-create because it is God and my angels who led me here and helped me every step of the way). People are shocked when they hear I was once a paralegal and how I totally shifted into having a spiritual practice (the two are very different, indeed). What made me choose this? People close to me saw the immense shifts within me from the spiritual work I was choosing and encouraged me to share it with others. They wanted me to inspire others. And so, I listened, and Peace-By-Peace was born. I went from choosing Reiki for me to sharing it with others ~ first people, then animals. My spiritual awareness kept opening and expanding ~ reawakening my gift of animal communication, learning many more holistic modalities, and getting to know angels on a very deep and personal level, followed by the gift of seeing, hearing, and sensing loved ones in Spirit. And I keep asking to learn even more!
Throughout my career, I have volunteered with animal shelters (working with shelter animals) and even traveled to Puerto Rico to work with a shelter that rescues what is known as "sato dogs." These sato dogs are very near and dear to my heart; it was while I was volunteering at a local animal shelter that I met my beloved, Randy (who has since left his earthly body), a sato dog. Because of all I witnessed and learned from this precious soul, I wanted to go to Puerto Rico to help other satos. What a learning experience for me! And that's what I strive to do…continually learn more, grow more, and be more…and keep sharing the gifts God gave me with the world.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and Peace-By-Peace. I look forward to learning more about you as well. God bless you, and know that you are loved.
